Support for German Cancer Aid

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Germany, and it is particularly tragic when young children are affected. One in five deaths among children is attributable to cancer. However, a cancer diagnosis no longer automatically means a death sentence. Especially when detected early enough, there are many ways to fight and even cure cancer.

For around 40 years, German Cancer Aid has been campaigning for the interests of people with cancer. Under the motto ‘Help. Research. Inform.’, the organisation supports various projects aimed at improving prevention, early detection, diagnosis, therapy, medical aftercare and psychosocial care, including cancer self-help. German Cancer Aid finances its activities exclusively from voluntary donations from the public and does not receive any public funds.

In spring 2014, the Josef Mühlbauer Foundation was able to donate €30,000 to German Cancer Aid with the help of customers, partners and suppliers.
