Your donation is tax deductible
The new ‘Act to Further Strengthen Civic Engagement’ has been in force since 2007. This act has significantly improved the tax deductibility of donations: the previous differences in the deductibility of donations and endowments according to purpose have been replaced by a uniform regulation. Donations are tax-deductible up to 20 per cent of the total amount of income in a year. Donations that cannot be taken into account for tax purposes in a given year because they exceed the limit of 20 per cent of the total amount of income are not lost, but can be credited in the following year – or years. The previous complicated deduction options for large donations no longer apply.
The changes are particularly favourable for foundations: here, up to EUR 1 million (EUR 2 million for married couples) can be claimed for tax purposes in addition to the 20% rule – provided that it is an endowment contribution to the assets of a foundation.
Your donations to the Josef Mühlbauer Foundation are tax-deductible up to the maximum amount. At the end of the year, you will receive a donation receipt for the amount of your donation. Please provide us with your postal address for this purpose.

After submitting your application, we will contact you to inform you which documents we require from you in order to successfully process your application in accordance with legal requirements. The advisory committees meet at regular intervals. The meeting at which an application will be discussed can only be decided once all application documents have been received in full.
